About the author
Ruqaya binti Habib Ullah is a professional nurse and an alumnus of the University of Kashmir, where she earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing. Having navigated the intense, grinding realities of the public healthcare system, she worked through the emotional and physical gauntlet of the pandemic before transitioning into advanced clinical areas, including specialized experience as a scrub nurse in Major Surgery and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS). Writing with fierce candor to examine institutional structures and break down deep societal stereotypes, Ruqaya advocates for the systemic respect, dignity, and human rights of nursing personnel globally. The views, reflections, and experiences expressed in her writings are entirely her own personal observations as an independent practitioner and do not represent the official policies, consensus, or positions of any specific hospital, administration, or healthcare institution with which she has been or is currently affiliated.
