About the author
Jyoti Bhardwaj is a Delhiite, non-Kashmiri who has fallen in love with Kashmir and its people. Hence, this book, “Kashmir Meri Nazar Se” is the result of her love for Kashmir. Jyoti being a central government employee in a Ministry in Delhi, and one of her hobbies is “writing” since her childhood, she has written various poetries and quotes both in hindi and English. In her school days, one of her writings was acknowledged and made part of the book, India 2020, written by former President of India Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Her first poetry “An Ode to Kashmir” was loved and recognized by an online newspaper of Kashmir in the year 2018. Whereas, her 3 hindi poetries were recognized and published in an online newspaper of Delhi/NCR in the year 2022 itself. “Kashmir Meri Nazar Se” is her first book as a writer. Jyoti believes that writing empowers her. She adds that writing has helped her to express her unsaid words. She believes that there is no strong weapon which can beat the power of pen and words. Further Jyoti says that writing is the only thing that liberates her. She writes when it comes from her heart. Hence, Jyoti proclaims herself to be a “moody” writer. Jyoti has unfolded her life’s one of the major incidents along with her experiences of visiting Kashmir in this book. Jyoti is working on her second book and has already planned her third book.
